It's been quite a while since we've added to the blog. Our Facebook addiction took over but now we're back to posting on our blog. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We spent time in Buffalo visiting with family and friends. My parents enjoyed their cuddles with Grace. We rocked it out at Patti and David's house with the kids as we all tried to be rock stars with Guitar Hero World Tour. Grace LOVED being around Andrew and Katie and she's become very chatty!

Grace just started swim class this past weekend and she loved being in the water. I have my turn next weekend. Steve was brave enough to dunk her first! No problem. I think she'll be a natural swimmer just like her mom ;)

Pumpkin Time

Our little pumpkin has been very busy these days. We had a lot of fun on Halloween as Grace enjoyed watching the parade of kids go up and down our street. It was no nice outside that everyone sat out on their porches and enjoyed the evening.

Please pass the tissues

We've
been passing a cold back and forth in our house and hoping to all be
better soon. Grace just had her 6 month check-up with shots. She didn't
cry as long which helped her mommy deal with it. Each day is wonderful
with her in our lives. It's so much fun watching her change right
before our eyes. It's so true how fast time goes by.
Grace is babbling a lot, so we'll have to take bets on what she'll say
first in the next couple of months. I already think she's saying ba ba
for bottle! We'll see...

but chose the ones we thought our parents would like :)

Shopping Trip

Grace is now five months old. We can't believe how quickly she's growing! She already has a tooth budding and is chewing on everything. Grace and Mommy are off to Buffalo next week and we know Grandma Voigt can't wait to get her hands on Grace's cheeks. Stay tuned for more pictures and video soon.

Summer Nights

A great way to spend a Sunday evening is at the beach. We enjoyed watching the sun set and introducing Grace to the waves of Lake Erie. We live close to the water, so it's nice to just drive down the road and enjoy it--plus they have excellent chocolate shakes at the concession stand!

Sleepy morning

We really enjoy our porch on the weekends. It took Grace and mommy a little longer to wake up that morning, but it was a beautiful day to snuggle outside :)

Thbbbpppppttt!!!!

As Grace gets older, her vocabulary grows and grows! Witness the new sounds she can make (and the drool she can produce).

The Posse

We had a great time Saturday night as the Laube family hosted a fabulous party! It was wonderful to enjoy a night with our spouses and share some laughs too! Karen, Ginny, and Michele are friends of mine from the firm--"The Posse." We keep each other laughing. Great party, Mich!

Cincinnati Weekend

Grace has been busy visiting family these days. We were able to visit the Cincinnati crew for Nick's 1st Birthday. Steve was named the "Baby Whisperer" because he has such a calming way with the babies. It was great to see everyone and especially fun to see Nick enjoy his presents.

Buffalo Weekend

This past weekend was fun as we visited family and friends in Buffalo. The Fourth of July party was "a blast" and filled with excitement. After Grace had her bottle, she was ready for the beach, but her mother put on the added protective sunscreen finding out later that Grace had an allergic reaction! So, a little drama was mixed in with the party. She was fine and slept through the fireworks as we danced the night away with the receiver hooked on our shirts! We only have a couple of pictures which we'll add soon.

Besides having fun at the beach we enjoyed Barb's 70th Birthday party--a surprise. Grace's mom was stung by a bee too, so we had quite a good time patching ourselves up this weekend. We ended the weekend trip with a steak dinner at Patti and David's house to celebrate Grandpa Voigt's birthday. We'll be on our way to Cincinnati next weekend and look forward to more adventures and more pictures to follow!

Bath Time

It's been a while since we've posted on the blog and we're starting to get in trouble with our friends. I'm hoping Michele, Liz, and Mike will see this first!

Grace is now enjoying bath time and I guess her mother is too! If you can hear over my shrills, you'll notice Grace likes to be cuddled. We can't believe how fast she's growing.

Family Visits

Baptism Weekend

Grace's Baptism was this past weekend at our church, St. Mark. She was just beautiful and slept through most of the Mass. We were so happy to have both of our families join in on the celebration.
